Since you will not be given any money from the game after your initial $25,000, you will need to be able to make money on your own. And there are lots of ways to do that!
Some Pretty Simple Ways
>> Sell a horse. Simple enough.
>> Sell breedings to your horse. You can bring money in from letting others breed their horses to yours.
>> Show your horses. For this to work, you'll actually need to win, but it's not a hard way.
>> Advertise for the site! This is a really easy way to make money. You'll get between $100 and $1,000 for every ad! Just contact me to get the finer details before you get started.
>> Get a loan from the bank. Eventually you'll need to pay it off, but at least it's a quick fix at the time.
Skill Based or Job Related
>> Offer photograph or art related services. You can charge for any service you do, and you can set the price!
>> Try to get your character a job at a stable. Look for "Hiring" type signs near the Stables board, and apply for those jobs.
>> Become a rider or a trainer. Look for information on this in the Training board. At first, it will cost you money to open your business. But once you get started, the dough might come rolling in!
>> Open a stable. You will need to be pretty well off in order to start this and build it up, but eventually you'll be getting money from boarders! Look for more information on this in the Stables section.
Miscellaneous
>> Lease a horse out. This could be handy if you want to let others use your horse and get paid for it. You can work out your own deals with people, and decide what you want to let them use your horse for.
>> Host a show! You'll need to rent space from a stable owner, but you can charge your own entry fees. You also have to provide prizes, so you should charge enough to get some money for you. Find out more on the Horse Shows board.
